Choose Right Memory Card for your Phone
Memory cards are the source to extend our phone’s memory. It is not the only reason to have a memory card; it also saves and backup your digital data like photos, videos, music etc. It is very easy to buy and install, then what is the problem to choose the right memory card for phone?
After purchasing a General phone or a Smartphone, all people don’t think about the storage card and buy an ordinary one. Is it correct for you? May be not. In the age of Smartphones, we all buying phones by searching a lot, but in the case of memory card why not? This is a real-life problem which already happened with me. I could not decide which memory card to choose, that performs better for me. That’s why I decide to write this post for my readers to increase their knowledge about mobile memory cards.
Storage Capacity
Memory cards come with 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants. A general phones supports upto 16 GB external storage, and a higher-end phone supported up to 128 GB. Generally Peoples not buy 64 GB and 128 GB cards.
First consider how much storage do you need in your phone? If you are a general phone user, then choose the lower capacity variant and for a high-end phone choose 16 GB or 32 GB. Because, a smartphone needs more space to store the captured images and videos. 16 GB is a lot of space for storage for the common user, not too much and not too little.
Class (Compatibility and Speed)
Here Class doesn’t indicate the quality or brand of the memory card. In case of memory card, Class is all about speed. In the market, you can easily find out four varieties of classes; Class 2, Class 4, Class 6 and Class 10.
You’ll get 2 Mbps writing speed with a class 2 memory card. Similarly, every class indicates the writing capacity of the card. Always use class 4 or 6 for a general phone and class 10 for high-end phones. High end phones need more writing speed to store videos or images quickly. If you are using a lower class memory card in an HD video capturing phone, obviously it’ll heats up or hangs up.
